Hello from Western Australia chasing advice regarding multiplier reels or as we call them overhead reels for surf casting. You guys are regarded over here as the pioneers of surf casting with overheads! To cut a long story short I inherited 2 rods off my Dad 1 Poseidon 5 piece and the other custom built unsure of what it was, took it to rod builder, he seems to think its an Assassin which has a low mount approx 14ft. What are you guys using in regards to reels. I currently have Abu 7000 and 10000,Daiwa SL50SHB and SL50SH,Saltist 40H. Want something to throw big baits with good line capacity,drag and still reasonable to cast. Curious to what you guys are using??
