Thanks bud - for sumbody who thinks Diawa is quality - funny how you punt the "Culcutta" first - Now where lies the real Quality.

Gilly Question for you - you work in the tabbaco industry?

Do you know "Nick the Greek" from Limbe Leaf?

Naah, I work in the tea and macadamia industry, but I vaguely know a few of the tobacco boys -  the one Greek Nick tobacco farmer that comes to mind is Nick Yianakis from Namiwawa, but I'm not sure if he did or still does work for Limbe Leaf - could easily find out for you if you want.

Naah okay I used to know all the limbe leaf and stancom boys - had some seriously wild fishing trips with them to the zambezi...............
Just a small world - just interesting to find out who knows who???

Well Ryan I guess I'm a bit late to give advice on the 20kg+ barbel trip. The problem is probably that you planned the trip on the sly and didn't invite us along.

My rig is a sea Daiwa reel on a 6' boat rod with 130lb dacron on it. I fish lures since it's more productive and a fairly large loodkop does the trick.

The reason for such heavy line is you have to be able to haul the large barbel out in between the trees - you can trust me on this one, Nylon and braid works in open waters, dacron works in the trees. The dacron doesn't cut into the tree as badly as the other lines. Don't use such heavy line if you cannot handle it, some of those big barbel didn't get to that size for nothing.

I did nothing under the SLy - I asked Pine if you guys were keen - he said he had other priorties - and I has no otherways of contacting you......

Thanks for the tips though - managed to loan sum tackle from Pine for the trip......
