REBUILDING A TRINNIE 40

This trinnie 40 i did for Mick Servatino, see the grease turning the redish tinge, this is when crystalization starts and the grease totally breaks down leading to caking,ie hardening and friction and corrosion.

I serviced and corrosion treated this reel, fitted 1 DC pawl, a new roller bearing, removed the leather drag which was not working any longer, poor drag, sticking and i had to repair the top drag plate, look at the picture the dome area was pushed down due to excessive pressure on the star.

Repaired, cleaned, correctly serviced its ready for big fish again, enjoy it Mick.

There are loads of photos on my facebook page. Go check it out jonathans reel repairs and upgrades.
