Ek beplan om sondag bietjie vir die dag by boschkop te gaan hengel wil net graag weet of daar iemand is wat onlangs daar was.Kan iemand dalk raad gee oor aas om te gebruik distansie ens.Hulp sal wardeer word.

Hi
I was there two weeks ago for a night fishing session as the big ones seem to bite at night. I used baby shoe traces, for bait i mixed dough and nesquick (strawberry) with sprite as backing and FX mielies as bait, Banana floaties work well too.
Caught a few fish, try and throw as far as you can as we used a canoe to drop deep line.

Oh yes and for dip use Dusk till Dawn don 4get you wont regret it.
40-50m you will get your muddies, grass carp and smaller common carp. I mainly use sliding rietvlei trace. I would use a floatie on the one hook and a small sweet white dough on the other. I have been having a lot of success with the Bleeding Floaties from MG (Vampire & Bunspice, Caramel and Plain White) Mainly sweet dips such as FX, Petite Janine Red, Dusk to Dawn, Vyfspoed - and this depth fished more in the morning till 10h00. You can use a little "potents" such as Devils Fork or Stuttaford on the Bom as well if it is a bit quiet. I only use the potents if it is very cold or if there are few bites - you must use this in moderation.
80-120m you will get some bigger grass carp, muddies and common carp. I would use pretty much the same baits as the 40-50m rods but I would feed the 80-120m with boms when I start fishing in the morning so that it is "operating" by the time you start to fish it at 10h00.
These are only my opinions - I hope you catch some fish.
PS: Boschkop will be full up I am sure - you will most likely battle to find a decent spot.

Do a search. A lot has been said about boschkop. I caught a heep of fish using fx/banana/almond combo on the bomb and the hookbait(plain float and swd backing) dipped in almond. Fx/perdeby also work everywhere at the vaaldam. If its quiet you can try and add a dot of tcp or anything strong/stinky on the bomb as Misguide said.
