You need to be very careful when fishing quarries as they are tucked away nicely from anybody that can see them and for that reason they get targeted by thieves

Sorry marlin, can't help you with this 1 bud.

Like previously mentioned always be very carefull of fishing holes / quarries as safety is always a factor while fishing them.

What i would suggest is that you contact scrat or basslover (vaal blokes) and arrange a trip with them to basslake in vereeniging.

I have never fished there myself but i hear it's very promissing and safety is no issue there.

best of luck

Afternoon all

spoke to 1 of the contractors at work this afternoon and he informed me that they were beaten like crazy and mugged at some water hole close to teazers in midrand.

I don't know the place but please be warned.

this happened some months ago

There own fault as it has been in the news papers a couple of times.

Hi BM,

There's one in Edenvale- behind the Checkers there. There's a quad track with bar and toilet facilities. Not that hidden. Some nice fish there, if you can get them out...lol

Is it still open? I was told it was closing and you had to join the club to fish there. The problem with this place is that there are buildings under water in the middle and the bass tend to hang around the building and on the inside. But yes there are some nice bass in there
