hi guys i am looking at getting a spinning reel for my 7ft shimano med light jigging rod and have jusyt seen the "new" quantum cabo spinning reels, they look impressive and have a beast of a drag, 22kg which is as much if not more than most others, my question is this i am going to be in c.t over december and would like to try spinning for yellowtail would the reel be suitable and have any of you gents used one?

Bought one this morning!! Still havent fished with it but it looks good. Google Quantum Cabo 60 and read the overseas reports , all good not one bad report outhere! I am looking forward to spinning season to arrive.

what are you going to be using it for? like i said im going to be in ct in dec and want to give spinning for yellow tail a go what do you think will it work? how much did you pay for yours if you dont mind me asking?

I am going to use it to spin with for garrick,etc. Maybe some light tackle baitfishing as well. I paid R1299. If you in CT lets hook up for some spinning in the Strand area. Some nice Garrick around that time of the year and Elf.

My holiday starts the 15 of December. Also keep an eye on the Saltwater section. Flippie and company went to Rooikrans today , awaiting a report tonight.

i'll be down from around the 3rd for about 2 weeks and am trying to find out where to try and catch some fish
