Pva bags

I normally tie them, but yesterday I used saliva to close the pva bag. What a terrible taste that left in my mouth. Now I wonder if fish are not put off by the taste or smell of it since some of the smell might go into the freebies inside the bag once everything starts to melt etc.
I know lots of carp were caught using pva bags. I myself, not even a bite every time I use a pva bag.

the horrible taste from pva bags is when companies use the cheapest pva they can get . u will know when its crap pva when it has that chemical taste .i recently dumped a large number of expensive solid bags from a supposed good international company because of that. it might not put the fish off,but it puts me off.i have since changed to a local company and im not having any issues at all ,bags , mesh , and string . plus its a quarter of the price.
