3.2 b) In addition, boats with outboard engines should carry

Spare proppeller (higher pitch)

Do we really need to carry a extra prop?

Some people advise me on lower pitch?

No, nobody carries a spare propeller. You have 2 motors.

I surf launch and carry a spare prop with nuts lock pins spacers etc. But i'll never change a prop at sea unless i absolutely have no other option!

The risk of dropping it into the drink and loosing your only good motor far outways a slower trip home.
