Hi Guys, I have a citation 700 cabin. I am fiiting the new suzuki 140 4 strokes and was wondering if anybody has some advise on props.

I launch mostly out of the harbour and run around 160km round trip in a day, however will be in Sodwana in Nov 17. So surf launch will be on the cards.

Currently have been offrered the 3 blade 13 7/8 x 19 pitch counter rotating stainless.

Nice Ripcurl, those are beauties!! So 50km/h or 26.9 kts. Is 5800rpm your maximum operating range?

VERY NICE! I would have expected more top end speed than that - hole shot must be incredible though. Maybe you could try 21's?

On another note, how would you rate the ride of your 700 to your previous 565?

We still running in motors, so do not want to push over 5500 for extended periods. I expect to get 55 - 60kmh at 6200 rpm or wot. We are getting in contact wirh another 700 with same motors to find out what they gave. We maybe still go for 21s.

Yes we wanted the hole shot more than top end due to surf launch and occassional backline garrick and snoek sessions.

The ride of the 565 I felt was not as nices as my 15.6 Orion cat. Into a wind the tunnel pushed water over the front.

When comparing all rides too the 700, the 700 is great. Stable on the drift, great with and against swell and wind. With the full enclosed cabin, the extra weight upfront is awesome and DRY..._seal1_;)

Update. Ok still running in motors. Almost 20 hrs. With 19 pitch I get to wot of 60kmh and revs not bouncing or maxing.

I like the low down power as it gives a nice consistent ride in rough sea. With higher pitch prop you could come off plain and this just makes for more work to get back on plain.

Will test in surf when I go to sodwana for OET this year.
