Pringle & Betties Bay

Hi want to head out to pringle or betties on Saterday. Does anyone know what the vis is like at the moment down that side.

Went for a dive at bakoven on Sunday and the vis was incredible, but didnt see any sized fish. last night and this morning the conditions were still excellent again, pity some of us have to work.

I saw a few other divers off bakoven, know of anyone who got something?

I got a report last night that water is very clean on the Betties site - it changed a bit this morning but I suspect it should still be diveable...

oooh that makes me so happy. there is a front coming thru, but hope there is enough west wind to keep it clean

Hi Bushbuck,

I dove at Bantry Bay on Sunday and like you say, this viz was incredible. I had about 8m most of the time. Got 5 hotties, 4 just under a kilo and 1 of 1,5kg. Dove on my own, so I couldn't explore the deeper boulder, where I am sure there will be more moster hotties.

PS Diving Rooi Els off a boat tomorrow. Reports are looking good at present

thanks for the update. be interested to know how its like tomorrow. Tomorrow should be good but a big northwesterly is planned for thursday and friday so hopefully it doesnt bugger it up too much.

dived camps bay... loads of fish... well worth the vis too!
how was the boat dive at rooi els?

Have never seen False Bay as flat as yesterday. Water was about 15.5 and viz started at about 6-7m, but worsened through the day. Fish got bigger though.

Shot medium gallie, medium John Brown and 5 hotties, of which one was close to 2kg. Also had a 2.6kg Roman on the boat. Did my first 15m dive. All in all one of my best days diving yet.

its choppy but still clean today and with the nw blowing there will be fish in pringle/hangklip if you can get in early today!
