Hi guys, dropped 2 rods with Armand and said no rush as I only need them for next winter. Well 13days later after exams, he apologises for the delay due to family circumstances.

Please note he and his family desperately need our prayers over the next few days.

Hope all works out for the best buddy.

You're in our prayers, remember family comes first!

Hey Mario!

Thanks so much for this, its been a really tough time these last couple of days. Really appreciate the support and prayers.

Sorry to those who have been awaiting replies to PM's but to clarify -

My gran is the lady who was mauled by the rotweiler in the Strand over the weekend. Dog came through fence and bit into her arm, in trying to pull away she fell over and broke her hip aswell as hit her head on the pavement. As if this was not enough, while at the hospital my parents both went in for check up and my mom had to go in for an emergency op to remove cancerous growths in her neck( 6 years after chemo therapy ) and my dad had a heart scare.

All three family members ended up in hospital with me running between two different hospitals and a heart unit while trying to keep two household running and supervising renovations at home has not been easy.

Apologies for any delays concerning rod builds and revamps, i take pride in being able to do rods quickly but thats gone out the window this week.

Trying to get things going again and thanks for those who understand and are suppoting me through this.

Thanks! will keep that inmind. how do we get rid of all the dust thats just everywhere?!!

:fbash other than that its coming along nicely. new braai area, had kitchen and bathrooms revamped aswell as painted the house and built a new back porch.

Even have a designated rod room with turners built into the wall now. Now my factory line will be spitting rods out quick time.

Think my parents will be pleased to see the progress aswell as my coping with it all once they get back.

an option would be to tape off access points with masking tape and damp proof membrane, you must enforce a controlled entry exit... very difficult to do this i know!

the good old broom and vacuum is your best solution.

All the best to your family members, I really wish each of them makes a strong recovery..!!

And strength to you to keep things all together - sounds like you really on top of things, which will be a huge relief for your folks and make their recovery easier knowing you taking charge.

I was also struck down this year with some really unexpected medical emergency, and being able to rely on the strength of my wife to keep things going for the past 6 months has been of HUGE relief to me, allowing to to fight my medical battle.

We were/are  also building - BUT we are our own labour crew - so it is just the wife and mine 2 pairs of hands doing it.. so being unable to use my hands this year, we been living with our 'building site" and building materials everywhere for the whole year so far. hopefully next year I can get my hands back!

And on fishing matters - I got a couple of really old Blue Marlin fibre glass rods that I'd really like to see renewed to life again - possible???
