So I bought a Saltiga 50HKP, Bully Braid 48lb - 600m, Double X 0.47MM - 600m and reel cover.

Just by phoning around I manage to save - R1479.00

Unless you a millionaire DON'T be lazy to shop around for prices before you purchase tackle.

I agree!!!! Bought a Penn Fathom 40 2 weeks ago. My local tackle shop had it for R2650 so when I got home I phoned around for an hour and got it for R 1650. That a R1000 saved!

A lot of the price differences show up in old vs. new stock. It's worth trying a few of the smaller shops with slower stock turnover.

or are we just being ripped off.

Drag washers for my Daiwa 350HK at one tackle shop R70 at another tackle shop R150 bought both sets and had to wait 2 weeks for both orders.
Same packaging and make....go figure. :puke
