preparing groundfeed

Ahoi! I leave it for 5 days in a pot with water, add a little egg yellow and on day 5 boil it slowly for about 20 min. Pour the water into a bag and put in the freezer when cold (Add it to your Brand feed at the dam).3/4 of the feed goes into the blender and the other 1/4 kept like it is. Use at the dam to add weight and to bind feed.

Ek gebruik ook baie keer chick #2 of #1 as ek dit kan kry. Ek gebruik so die helfde van die pak vir n dag se hengel. Gooi dit in n mikrogolf oond bak en gooi so bietjie groen floro. by. Gooi nou koue water in die bak totdat al die chicko net net onder die water vlak le. Sit dit in die mikrogolf oond vir so 12 tot 15 minute op maksimum sterkte sonder n deksel en siedaar jou lok is klaar. Ek haal dit nou uit die mikrogolf oond uit en roer dit so elke 10 minute om met n lepel om van die hitte en stoom ontslae te raak. Maak dit die aand voor die tyd dan sal jou lok lekker koud wees die volgende oggend. Kyk of jy by die koperasie geel miliemeel kan kry, maak dit op dieselfde manier, dit werk beter as chicko vir my. Ons koperasie verkoop dit net in 50kg sakke so ek deel dit maar met n paar ouens. vat die meel en stoor dit in die vrieskas, dit sal dan baie langer hou en dus nie miet kry en afgaan nie.

What we used to do a few years ago is buy those 50kg bags of normal yellow maize and all you do is kook them on the gas stove(A pressure cooker works quicker but can be a bit dangerous if not used correctly) until they swell up to about twice their original size and then put then through the mincer,electric or manual, and you don't even need to add anything to it as it forms a nice ball just like that. You can keep a phew uncooked ones and put them with the minced ones and use some of them for targeting the bigger fish on hair rigs.

5 days, sho brakkanjan you making beer???
i soak over night and boil till soft enough for a carp to ingest, i found anything under cooked wont be touched, i got carp in a tank me and linear did and experiment last night where we boiled up maize till almost cooked, and through one in and next to that i through a koo meilie in, the wouldnt touch the normal miele and the koo mealie went straight down, so the lesson to be learnt is prepare your feed properly, i wouldnt soak for 5 days to be honest not mocking you brakkanjan but ass soon as your bait starts to furment then either you will catch barbel or nothing at all

Hallo Deisel, ja elke ou het maar sy eie manier en tricks, ons is naturlik lief daarvoor om Molassa by te voeg net voordat dit gekook word en klein bietjie suiker. Ek het nog nooit 'n baber so gevang nie en het al groter vis en meer vis as die ou langs my gevang.
Ek gebruik net 'n klein bietjie saam my normale voer in die bom. As ons in die rivier hengel skiet ons van daardie voerballe(Omtrent 4 of 5 KG) so 4 dae voor die tyd in op so 40 m.

Ek dink nie daar is vreeslik "no-no's" as dit by grondvoer kom nie, die belangrikste is seker maar om seker te maak dat jou voer altyd vars is. Dis belangrik dat jy op een kol kan gooi en n mooi klien voerplek maak, anders maak dit nie saak watse lok jy gebruik nie. As jy nie akuraat kan gooi nie, gaan geen lok jou vreeslik help nie.

MAize rice... cook it with some sugar and eg yellow.. add this with your instant stuf.. it you just use the freh stuff it does not disolve quick enough.. that last minute fresh add(oats or braaipap) ensures the feed breaks up in 20 min.. when it soaks up water and expands..
