Hi guys our preparations are going well, thanks to all that contributed so far. Here is a photo of a 10th of the feeding balls that we need for the competition.
Luckily we found a way to do it a bit quicker. I made a cutting jig with piano wire that is spaced 3.3cm apart. The steps are as follow: Press the feed into a 40mm pvc pipe, compress it, push it out and cut with the jig. The pieces are just big enough to make the perfect size feeding ball.
Christodeb, thats what its all about, passion, and by the looks of it you have loads, literally lol!
Great man, Im sure you will make it a success.
Hope you have tight lines and reel runs all the time man!
Well done! Your time is little now! Good luck for the weekend. Please let us know how it went.
What is your opinion on the distance to feed at? Most people feed just before the drop, but if the dam gets water the drop would be much further and it would be hard to feed at that distance.
Thanks Jacques. What i'm thinking is that the fish might come in closer because the dam got water, and not feed after the drop. If you would fish the area now where would you feed?
Zone A - LOTS of smaller fish. I need to test the guys ability to fish through the smaller fish.
I would feed the following way. Baitballs and boilies just after the drop. Smash the shorter distance 30 meters with massive maize, peanuts particles (use your baiting spoon to do this) It will give the correct distance for this. You would then be able to fish in front at night and also get the fish if they move out. Remember the schoal of fish in Bloemhof has a 5km radius.
PM me yor email addy I would like to chat to you about other stuf.
