prawn pumping in milnerton lagoon

hi guys, can this still be done or is it a no-no at the lagoon. if yes, are the prawns any good, size wise or will it be a waste of good fishing energy?

There are BIG prawns ,but its same day use and 50 per day is still the limit .

If you willing to pump for 5 hours and only get 20 prawns then Milnerton lagoon is the best place.

either that or its off to the baan for :fishn, there the ratio is 20 prawns every 5 min, much betta odds

I wish they can change it to 30 p.p at milnerton just 4 so 2years. The prawn feels like a gulp product and only live a couple of hours in the bait box. I had better sucsess at melkbos with sunrise prawns

intresting that you say that... I have had the exact same expierence with those milnerton prawns. They go pap very quickly wonder why?

this was what my first post was aimed at. used to pump there on friday afternoons and drive to the baan for allnighters. come 10 or 11 o clock and all prawns are slap. this is not a new incident, like i said havent pump milnerton for some time

Maybe you should try keeping them in an environment similar to where you pumped them from....my 2c

Dan weet jy nie waar  om te pomp nie,ek was so 13h00 vandag daar en 13h40 klaar by 3de steen met my 50 groot prons,maar die stenies is klaar weg lyk dit,Hentiesbaai se manne moet maar op die uitkyk wees hulle kom!

Die mond was n tyd toe,en ek reken die soutgehalte was te laag daarom so vinnig pap en daarom se ek selfde dag gebruik.mond is nou weer oop en laat ons hoop op n verbetring .

Dillon,if you enter from marine drive and park as far towards the mouth as you can get you will see a sandbank,try the far side of this sandbank,look for the holes , once you hit the productive spot it will take not more than 30 min. for 50.thy are BIG . Towards the bridge thy are small .
