A little tip i learnt for replacing your pumps rubbers is to use a squash ball.
Make a hole straight through the middle of the ball and force it on your pump handle shaft tighten up and Bobs your uncle, you will never have to replace them again and it is deadly. It dose not stiffen the pump action and sucks like.... well nothing like you have ever felt before !! You can adjust it accordingly by tightening the butterfly nut on the end of the shaft as you would normally do. works on the stainless pumps and not sure on the PVC ones. Give it a try as it works like a charm. If its a bit sticky when you first convert it just pump in water and away you go.
