prawn nets

[justin88]

good day mates

what is the retail price of a prawn net used when pumping for prawn?

I purchased myself a PVC prawn pump just to get in the swing of things (will buy a stainless steel one b4 year end).

Can a net be made using a normal bicycle or car tube??

Thanks

If im not mistaken, the sell for over R100bucks??

All you really have to do is buy a "pool noodle" and make your own one. Much cheaper option bud!

exactly right. you can make it for under 50 bucks with one of those and a cheap piece of net.

i hav a tube at home. where can i purchase the netting??

you should be able to get a suitable piece of netting from a hardware store. if you're strapped for cash ask them for off cuts, it doesn't need to be all that big.
