I was given a complete set of Fuji Alconite guides.(30mm flip, 25mm, 20mm, 4x 16mm) They have been lying around now for about 6 months, not knowing what to do with them. I have been busy rebuilding 3 Assassins and 10 G.Loomis baitcaster rods, which is finally finished!

Last night I cleaned all my rods, and then it him me!!!

POSEIDON NEEDS A REBUILD!!!

Strip off all the old PacBay's and rebind the Fuji's
Extend the butt by about 30cm (better grip for casting)

Keen to see this. I have the same issue with the butt. It's waaaaay too short. Also have noticed quite a bit of rust creeping into my guides feet. I think I'll do mine with low riders. Keep us posted WP

Mine were also rusted. Not to bad, but its worrying me!! I wanted to take photos, but my camera batteries are flat!!! Will take some later.

Original butt was 350mm from buttcap to reelseat. Mine is now 530mm to reelseat. I only need to glue a piece of EVA for rear grip, then its done. Getting my Ultegra on Wednesday, then I will bind on the bionic finger permanently.
The guides are Fuji Alconites that was stripped to get all the black off.
All my rods are binded in gold, blue and black, so they all look the same!
30mm flip up, 25mm, 20mm, 4x16mm. still looking for a better 16mm tip, but struggling to find a 2mmx16mm tip!
Buttcap will be the smallest rubber i could find!

Wee pee- do you then reel in with the butt under the arm , as i also Despise shorter butt sections , but have found that On my estuary Pro cheapie , which has a Longer Handle section than , say , my shimano Vengeance for exemple- i found that with it in the bucket , the reel Was Pritttty Darn far away from Me !

Please Do Post the Longer Section for us . I WOuld Like To See what that Looks Like . Nice eyes . Looks good .

Def, I am busy "designing" a rod bucket that wil strap onto my upper leg for my grinder.Will fit next to my leg, not on the front. Old bucket that im just tuning a bit. I will post pics whenm done. The butt was only extended by 20cm. I have been super busy the last 4 days, so havent finished the rod yet. Maybe the weekend.
