POSEIDON MEDIUM?Can they be bought on 2nd hand market?

I recently came across Poseidon for sale,but sold when phoning.Reason for sale - Angler couldn't load Poseidon.

I've bought gear previously that just don't suit my style,and hence the trial with 2nd hand Poseidon.Don't want to have another disammapointment,lol! 

I need a 3pce,as all my rods are 1 pce,difficult for transporting.

If I dig it,I'll buy a Brand New POSEIDON!

I have had the chance to fish with one before and I must say it is not a bad rod. I moved away from them when I really started to fish comp. My experiance is that the rod was very light wich was a big bonis, I could fish with that rod all day long and not get tired, it was allso much softer then the other medium rods on the markit. If I was looking for a rod that I would mainly use to put fish on the table from time to time then that would be my choice.

On the other hand if you target was edible and some non eds then I would look at something like a Pentigon allso in the medium range. A very good all round rod that stands back for nothing at all.

A nother thing to consider is that the rods are built overseas and not in this country.

Whats funny is the price on the shelf last month was R2200, now the price is going way more! they nuts! I know of one tackle store selling it for R2900, I paid that price for the Heavy!!! and the Staffe was going for R4200 - what can be done about these insane increases?

Yip, I bought mine medium/heavy from Khan, great service...the rod is excellent for small to big eds and small in eds...its light and a good all round rod but don't expect to pull huge sharkies with it...

Hey Walt. Definitely go for the Pentagon (made by Gremlins). They use the Blue Marlin T53 blank. The overall length of the rod is 13.8 ft. If you decide on a three piece, I would recommend the Pentagon with the medium tip.  It can throw anything from 5-7 oz, is super light and probably one the best rods for edibles.  Expect to pay in the R3000 mark for one with all the customised extras and shipping. A cheaper option would be to purchase the Blue Marlin rod; it would be the T53 420/5. Expect to pay around R2200.  I have the slimline version with the heavy tip, which I've just sent to Gremlins for customising; I've also bought the medium tip as well as I feel that the heavy tip is too stiff for edibles. You can try it out when I get it back- that will help you make a more informed decision.  Others to consider would be the Purglass and Loomis range.

i said the same Thing about  Bigger-ineds .

Watched My pal Pulling a huge Bus with it , and promptly shut My Mouth . Handled the spotty of 25 with ease . good fun . Really so Light , what a Major Plus .

The Staffie , at R42 00 (R3800 Here) is absolutely Insane . I Feel there are More Logical , cheaper Choices Out there . There Must be . trully Only for the extremist .

For ed's I'd Love a Poseidon Medium . That rod is absolutely The bomb . and Even lighter .

Are the Pentagon's Made out of country??
