The Block at the Umzimkulu River fished quite well over the weekend...Shad were thick so all the guys were sliding livies.

Yesterday a good prodigal came out, not sure what size but i believe a good size fish.

Sunday I saw a 15kg plus Couta landed .

Saturday i saw two natal snoek and a couta.

Very small shoals of sards came thru sat and sun but toofar out to be practical.

Thanks Fishfun .

Ja the couta was a mate of mine Werner ,that was a beauty , i fished there for about 30 mins n left cos there was no Beeg fish & the Shad fisherman were there taking any & all fish caught ..
So sad to see our resources being depleated ...

Hey Trev,
Easiest way I know is to take the Oslo beach offramp right at the Oribi Toll ( the off ramp toll) Its the ramp at the main toll. Turn left, and follow the road all the way down. you will see the beach. Turn into the Picknpay, and follow the road to the lighthouse. The block is on the Right off the rivermouth !

No fishing from here for a long time, we had flash floods yesterday and the beach if filthy with debris and the surf is dirty brown.

I guess is bye bye to the sardines for another year.
