anyone can tell us whats happening in port edward im gonna be there this coming weekend

I was there 2 weeks back, fished Splash rock to no avail.
Slid a large mackrel and nothing. Water temp was off though (cold), went back a few days after on a sat morning, nothing happening either. Been quiet of late from what I hear.
