Cool, sounds good. Even at 160mm ( or smaller even )I'd still stick a belly hook on there if you can.... But I guess I like big hooks, and lots of them!!! One could always run an assist off the nose anyway if wanting a 2nd hook... Sometimes the belly hook also assists in keeping the bait tracking straight and in the water too...

Very nice work mate, workmanship looks fantastic... any idea of the weight on the finished lure yet?

They vary in wights. I have weighted them all differently. between 60-180 grams. That is the beauty of the foam. I can add weights where ever I want.

I'll make one just for you Neps and you can fit big mother hooks! ;-). I'll send you a gift next week.

The mould has previsions for it, but these are only 160mm long poppers so not really necessary.

Beautiful lure, did you make them on a lathe or cast it from resin? 
You can cast eyes in to it by using "teddy bear" eyes from a doll shop, but its very fiddly.

These are also cast foam just like my "pink tiger"! There is weighs added inside the lure in the belly section, which keeps the lure upright. I make the eyes myself. Could get laser eyes, would have to make a new mould to accommodate them though.

The second hook can also damage the fish, generally he is hooked on the back hook and the front hook then comes round and hooks the fish in the face, or eyes.
