Hi all,

Going up to Ponta Malongane in 2 weeks and taking my ski with me.

I have some co-ords for a couple of reefs offshore withing paddling range but I am not sure what tactics to use, I have been reading that you shouldnt try standard sard couta traces etc etc as the sards get chowed by smaller fish to quickly.

What then? Pull rapala's / halco's only. Also what is good for use on my spinning stick.

Thanks getting excited about the trip:::S

No need for gps marks. From the beach in front of the camp sites (more towards the gate) row out till you get 25m + and put out drift mackeril with pearl skirt cuta trace and you will get cuta. Whilst rowing out pull some rapala till you get the deep water. You might land a tuna. The red head white body works well. Small fish will eat your bait if you fish less than 20m. Good luck and post a report when you are back.
