In one of our normal “wish we could†K:censpraat sessions the idea of an Inhaca - Milli 4 day downwind trip was born.
Certainly to get the guys together won’t be a problem but the when and how will be the major factors. Cost will surely be a factor and if sponsors could be obtained it is a bonus.
The when is surely a week with a light to moderate North Easter blowing and current stabile North/ South. (Usually April/May)Wind Guru Archive shows 15-30 May over the last three years. The temperature is also bearable in Moz that time of the year.
The how will be with huge assistance of a land based crew for breaking and setting up camp on the next landing points.

The assembly camp will be Santa Maria at camp Carlos. ???
Road Trip from Milli to Camp Carlos for first overnight stay
The planned trip will start at Ponta Abril about 3 km South of Hells Gate.
From launch to Ponta Mucombe as the crow flies 16.83 km and at a slow 4 km/h just over 4 hours without fishing.
The second overnight camp will be at Ponta Mucombe where there are a couple camps available.
From launch at Ponta Mucombe to the third overnight camp, Ponta Membene, is 16.23 km and same time is planned.
From Membene to Ponta Dobella is 13 km and about 3 hours where we will be picked up for overnight at Mili. Think a reasonable daily on the water fishing time will be 6-8 hours.
If we could get a camping permission at Chemucane we could do..Inhaca-Mucombe- Chemucane-Millibangalala.
Malboer and Moztoppie will do a full photo, video Reccie and find camps and would be able to compile a full report. Will also get the lawful aspect from Moz Maritime
