Planning a day trip this Sunday to Eaglewate

ok, I wouldnt go to eagle waters. just for the day. its too expensive, R50 per car & R50 per adult. you cant use the pool as a day visitor & sometimes they have parties at the lapa with alot of nois & drinking- I dont mind the music but the sounds some people make while dancing is just revolting. go rather to the other places that are a bit cheaper.
i drove up to there, the bush get dense though. I dont think you can set up over there because they dont clean up & trim the grass on that end. I would also prefer the far right to be away from all the parties in the main area.

We fished the spot across from Meerhof a month ago, yes u can get to it as a day visitor, but it's not been maintained, overgrown shrubs, broken bottles, a few metres of hycanths in the water and some green algae. As a day visitor, it's relatively safe, but don't stay after dark or overnight, it's renowned for theft and crime. On the bright side, it fished well and the deep lines produced a few good fish.
Hi Gents.I've booked Chalet #1 at Eagle waters for the long weekend.Info that I've gathered is basically to fish between 60-100m,sliding Rietvlei with either #3 or #5 hooks,not to overfeed end to expect nice fish.Regarding flavours,Almond,Honey,Banana,Pineapple en 24/7 were mentioned.Any other info you can help with?

i normally fish day side and camping area but i guess its the same water
hooks i use is sensation 0.8 and rietvlei trace
Top hook - plain float and swd
Bottom Hook - plain float and swd dipped in sa powder
bomb - plain supercast dipped in sa powder wit FX and Yellow Banjo on the bol
swd - sweet white dough (mix 6 teaspoons of cold water with 2 heaps of white sugar - measure with handle of teaspoon. Then add golden cloud cake flour and mix until firm)
other flavours i've had great success with is
tjop tjop - dip and float
bunspice - dip and float
almond - dip and float
cina 1 - dip
custard powder
