What I like in pics/thread is the raised arc like frame cross members(those parts joining reel's ratchet side cover and Handle/gear cover). There's less resistance in the cast, with arc like gaps.

I've also always felt that the seat where reel fits on to rod,has very little space between itself and spool with line on.

If this area can have a wider gap, there may be less resistance between this seat & full spool, during casting, offerring perhaps a better distanced cast.

But then it may affect strength of reel when latching on to something big.

Does Anyone have any ideas if something can be designed at reel seat area on a trial type  basis to explore this possibility to increase gap,and then test if cast will be longer?

All anglers are on hunt for extended casting distance, and was wondering if this idea would benefit angler in casting further.

If it works, this could create some extra business, and be rewarding for anglers,as well.

Cheers!
