Hello Folks,

Personal attacks will not be tolerated on SEALINE.

Personal attacks include any attack on a member's character, personal life, personal habits, sexual preference, religious beliefs or race. Offenders will be dealt with appropriately, which could include permanent banning and deletion of posts.

I would also like to take this opportunity to remind members that SEALINE has a diverse membership, including women and children. Swearing and vulgarity is strictly not allowed, and this applies to Jokes being posted too.

Click here for Sealines Mutual Respect Policy.

Thank you for your co-operation

Emperor

I agree - Why can't we leave this stuff for the workplace, goverment etc.........

Most of us are recreational fishermen in one form or another and why do we fish - well because for most of us it is a deep ingrained passion and obssesion. For many of us Sealine forms the bridge that fills the void between outings and keeps us going and assists us in meeting like minded people, sharing knowledge etc, etc, etc.

Leave the politics and personal attacks to the politicians in this country without it invading this forum we have enough of that already.......

Thanx Emperor and it's definitely in everyone's interests that all comply with said rules for the smooth operation of the site.It really wouldn't hurt to re-emphasise these rules from time to time as a reminder that we're guests in the Sealine Kingdom and should return the respect for being enabled the privilege of being members on this site.I can only imagine how tough it's been for the Admin Guys and rest of team that make up the operation of Sealine, when working under such trying conditions. Let's not lose sight of what has been accomplished up to now.Thanx,Good Luck, and keep up all the Hard work.Cheers!

Thanks Emperor

This has most definately been my most boring week on Sealine. I can't say that there was any constructive advice given to any of us, many, novice fishermen this last week.

Thanks again.

Guys dont see it as this...this week with all the issues and attacks(agreed not always nice)  might have just been a historical week on sealine and a lot of good might come from this. With some of the advances made this week us novices might just still be able to catch some fish in a few years. Thanks for those who listened, thanks for those who endured it and most of all thanks for the site! :clow

YIP i agree

However if we did not have an "outdated" conservation system and all was tranparent regarding the use of funds collected by means of the fishing licence we would all be much happier . Guys how would you like to be asked for your fishing licence when your bag is still on your back and your rod still in its cover .

Untill there is some sort of drastic change in our conservation ethics will i show some respect irrespective of color.

Cheers

I have missed whatever has led to this reminder, because I don't come here too often anymore. One of the reasons is the constant bickering and flaming that goes on......I just don't enjoy it.

This is a fishing forum, stick to that, say what you like without offending others in a public domain.

Eish, constructive banter is always amusing to read, just check the number of hits they get when guys are gunning each other intellectually.

Emperor, i feel that although this is your site and you have the last say, that we as members should also somehow partake in the disciplinary action taken against future offenders.

At time i feel the punishment does not warrent the offence.

People will be people, we fight and argue, it's in our nature.

Beware of the person that doesn't get 'in your face', because that is the one that is going to stab you in the back at the first opportunity they get.

As humans we are the worst creatures roaming this planet, animals don't do the things we as humans do. So trying to pretend that we are 'good humans' is a very tough job.

I have felt the same way and haven't posted much over the last couple of months hope this will change things for the better.

Howzit Khan!Nice to hear from you but try not to get rattled by minorities. You have the choice of shutting it out as there are so many positives within Sealine.I've met so many good guys, including you,on Sealine, and you have a choice in the way you feel.We need guys like you and Poly,to constantly contribute to Sealine, and not take cognizance of a few negative postings.Move on,Buddy. Are you going to allow a select few to make you unhappy, and make you stay away from from the Sealine experience?Cheers!

I find it so difficult not to attack someone online when you know they are a two faced, self praising, egotistical, back stabbing, lying, cheating ............ Grrrrrrrrrr!

One can still take up an argument with that individual, but why not in person, why online? Chatting on the internet has also given people an opportunity to say things about other people, which they will never repeat, when facing that individual in person.

I do understand why this Sealine policy is necessary.

Hi guys

I am not a ESA fan but watch and learn....I see there is a thread on Raymond for a few days with than one personal attack...yet there has been nothing said from the powers that be,,,,note Raymond may be from ESA but he is ALSO a Sealine member.

Guys the rules must apply to everyone EQUALLY....If you want to smear the guy then please do it on the ESA website.

I've read briefly through this thread (maybe I missed something?!!?) but I can't see any "personal attacks" on the man... there are a few negative comments, and a LOT of positive comments of support for Raymond, so what's the big deal? No-one is "smearing" him, I don't see any personal attacks or insults and contrary to popular belief, we do our UTMOST to apply the same rules to everyone...

In my opinion, Raymond comes out of this thread looking good!

And in fact, Raymond has come on personally to answer the few critics and to accept the numerous tributes, all of which comes with the territory of being in the public eye; and he did this without whining about any unfair treatment.

Reefer I am stunt and without comment.

The post(which I saw as a personal attack) and am sure is the same one Jace referred to has disappeared.

I don't read every post over and over, it was still there this moring and did not go back time and time again to see if it was still there.

sorry my bad for making an issue out of nothing.
