Pentagon Medium HMG / Trini 20A

Finally after a lot of wheeling and dealing, selling and buying I have received my custom made rod from Gremlins Margate and tomorrow morning get my Trini 20A.

This set up is for live bait fishing for big edibles.

I will post pics of this combo tomorrow!!!

This is my first Blue Marlin Blank and after a lot of debating on the reel I have decided to go for a Shimano.

For the last 10 years I have only fished with the Daiwa Saltiga range.

There purchasing cost is now way to expense for me.

And to end off on a good note this combo will be in full force this weekend down the south coast whether hail or snow!!!!

Hey. Which tip/s did you order to go with your medium rod? Also what's the casting weight + bait with the chosen tip/s?

Thanx

This tip is a 5/7oz tip. I am only using it for garrick fishing. If a throw a shad or mullet I will use a 5oz sinker but if I slide a bait I will use a 6/7oz depending on the current.

Thanx for the reply. Was just wondering. I've read that there is a light, medium and heavy tip. Then also a shorter H tip and a different mid-section.

Quite a versatile rod.
