penn squall 50

Hi guys,
I am looking for a trolling rig for our next fishing trip to catch big wahoo, sailies, tuna of 20kg odd etc and had a look at this reel. Priced very nice and i like the lever drag function although i've never used it before. Would just like to hear your inputs? Should i rather bite the bullet and settle for a tld30 or tld50?

jong,

Ek glo nogal as jy so iets koop moet die nleeftyd hou van my tld25.

The Squall 50LD is more or less the same size and class as the TLD25

The Sql60LD is the same size and capacity as a Trini 50

The top brace can be removed and it is an excellent casting reel

Carbontex drag system with good retrieve ratio and plenty power.

Those I know who have them are happy with them and use them for trolling and surf casting.

Thanks Enigma,
So if i go for the squall60ld I get a decent trolling reel, but one I can also use as a sharky reel?? Good to know! Will have a look at the price ranges. Just wanted to know the reels reputation. Whether or not its up for the job of a decent size tuna/wahoo/sailie.

Thanks Bennie,
will be sending you an order for demon tackle in a week or so to start stockpileing for our trip!
Thanks for the honousty.

Bud, My biggest fish on a TLD 25 was a Black Marlin of 80kg. NO PROBLEMS! I know the guys catch Yellow fin in the 50kg class on them with no hassles.
