Which one would be better to take the Penn Fathom 40 or the Saltist the new one the black and gold

They both good reels, Bud.

Saltist and the Fathom has centrifugal braking. Although the Penn Fathom has a bit more advanced system in it.

Depends what you want to catch with them reels.

Jeez dude, u need to tell us where u are fishing for bass!! If u need a size 40 saltwater reel for bass, they must be seriously good size!!!
