Good evening All, I have been tied up with work. Some hairy repairs as well. Here is one if my all time favourite reels the Penn 525 Mag. Designed in conjunction with Penn USA and Neil Mackellow, old blackbaired as he is known by the guys in the UK, USA and world distance casting circles. He is sorely missed as not well and I wish him all the best and Gods grace in recovery. Neil, the late Terry Carrol owner of Zzipplex, Paul Kerry, Daiwas old consultant also ex world distance casting champ years back and John Holden are all legends in the distance casting fraternity. Pioneers in many aspects and they rightfully earn tbe highest respect from everyone who casts a sinker, be it on the casting court or surf.
This specific 525 mag sliddy was my reel and has travelled to a 3rd owner who is also a penn fan. Have a close look at this reel, many of the casting clips you will see on youtube use this reel. Small and compact but tough as nails and lamented as sadly discontinued a few years back. Like all good things they have become sought after and ones in good condition are collectable. Enjoy the photos of a lengendary reel, also note it has a magnetic cast control system that is adjustable like the Jmag ones I do. Sith any cast control system you must have adjustabikity by turning a dial. Enjoy.
