Hi Craig.p - Besides our forum , have a look at GUMTREE/OLX/ & Bid or Buy under the Fishing section. I did see some on BoB
My advice is not to buy a secondhand reel which is not in a excellent nick for more than R400 -R450 .........a new Penn 500 sell for +-R630.
Fair condition I would say not more than R280-R380.
The value of these reels lies in the fact that they are reliable , has sentimental value on e cannot convert into monetary value & spares are reasonably easy available, easy to clean & service, but does not have the Rand value like the new reels on the market with all the nitty gritty specs on them.
Also search the SEALINE forum for older threads on Penn 500's including the Internet SA
Penn 500 is rough & tough & lasts forever.
