Good morning All. This penn fierce i fixed the reel arrived just about ready to be dumped, it could not turn and was locked rock solid. It needed a proper service, a proper ultransonic clean, and lots of TLC. All 4 bearings were replaced, the gears had corrosion eaten into them, they were all 3 replaced. Thouroughly cleaned and with TLC and new gears she was good as new again. Keep grinders free from sand and water, especially the anti reverse roller bearing. Sand gets in behind the rotor housing and spool and the reel literally eats itself away. Use the best grease and oils available and if you follow these steps and service them on time they will serve you very well and remain trouble free. Last tip dont forget to service the line roller bearing, this item is overlooked by most and the next time you on with a fish and with braid it quickly lets you know that is it not happy running dry and packs up.
