Any news from that side of the world ???



Heard some whisperings that nice class of steenbras are comming out ,as Galjoen and large Craclker possibly due to nice SE winds the last couple of days !

Havent fished pearlies in years ,When they banned 4x4 from the beaches , i lost interest , its so far to walk.Might be worth a try though , bet many people do not walk the beach up to De Damme anymore

pearly beach is the one place you CAN still drive with 4x4's on the beach. you can go all the way from the nature reserve (entrance is R15 per person) all the way down to rietfontein and die damme! it is still my favourite piece of coast! in summer you can even sleep on the beach and fish through the night in relative safety!

Hi

I did not know you could still drive down there.Is the entrance still at the same place.We used to drive down a dirt road to a car park and then jump over a dune onto the beach , is it still the same.I fished there a lot in my teens and have caught a few bronzies of note..

The last time we were there it was still the same unless it has been changed. One never knows.
