PB for my boet !

My boet and I opted to fish Friday evening as the swell and wind was in our "favour" ! It was extremely quite except for around sunset when my reel started to scream  "ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZZZ ZZZZZZ" !! Played the Smoothy smoothly to the side with no real fight !

30min after sunset, my boet gets a pull ! 127cm COBBIE !!!

Funny thing though was that there was a guy sliding about 30meters away, yet the cobbie opted for the throw bait... I guess his name was all over the fish !

mozzies a bit scarce, mullet cut "laterally" dipped in anchovy oil did the magic for me while he got the Cob on Chokka !

With the smoothy, I had Maliek in a flat spin, he wasn't sure if he must fetch the gaff or try to "grab" the fish !

BTW I don't like gaffing my fish and we NEVER take a gaff with and concider it bad luck !
