I am really pleased that a paddle ski forum has been added to this site.I also Believe its a great way to get fellow anglers interested in this form of angling.

I am no expert in this form of angling but I think I can answer the basic questions, and if I can't, I can always find out from the experts in this field.

The experts that I refer to are not only fishingski anglers but they also design and build their own ski's.

 From Experience I can tell you these guys will go out of their way to help newcomers to the sport.

Lets hope this forum is just as successfull as our other forum.

Are fishing ski's allowed in Durban Harbour for fishing? Odd question i know but would be nice to take my drop shot rod along on my daily paddle in the bay.

Hey Cyberwulf,

I've been out on the bay a couple of times on my ski with no problems, recenlty a friend of mine on a fishingski was told by the water police to put his life jacket on, I haven't heard of any fishing ski guys being ordered out of the water.

give the port captain a call I sure he can give a definite ruling.

But I will try and get more info.

Was out this morning but not fishing myself. my buddie was fishing though and did not get anything. The hour we where out none of the 4 skis had anything.

Last time i was out fishing was about a week ago. Also no catches made.

Hey i'm not talkin bout the guy's that use their ski'd in the dams or harbour...I wana know if anyones been out to see with their ski. I launched at la mercy during easter friday the dumpouts were massive ..we did some bottom fishing and got some nice yellow bellies and a variety of other bottom specimens But not going prepared for a troll was a big mistake...the game fish were taunting us with their splashes around the bout and so were the hammer heads:cry1. I saw some yellow fin tuna that looked like drums.
