Oversanding of rod joints

Advice needed:
I have a 3 piece fishing rod and the joint was a bit tight. I sanded the male part of the mid section. But I sanded a little too much off. Now its loose.
What can I use to solve my problem?

superglue...work carefully!!

Wax the joint before putting together. Candle stick works fine.

Superglue. I prefer the bostik gel. It takes a bit longer to dry. Use a rubber glove or clingwrap over your finger and apply a thin coat. Let it dry, and then CAREFULLY sand it down with 1800 grit until it fits the way you want

i have found that surfers wax stix like sh%%t

Use the glue/activator of the Q-bond. Do not use the "powder"
