Our club's (Police Angling Club) aiming to run another Kabeljou Derby on the 1st of March 2010 and I would like to see at this stage who would be interested in attending the Derby.

It will be done the same as last year, i.e. prize money up for grabs, tickets will be sold beforehand, etc. etc. Details wil be posted once we have enough interest in such a venture.

You can count on at least 10 Village People to participate.

After all we feed and grow them cob on our doorstep.

 

PS. I have reason to believe that your fellow club member Ben took out an Aquacat on Sunday at Macs and subsequently lost the boat at sea.

Would you know whether he managed to salvage the vessel?

You are correct re the aquacat. Apparently it never turned when he wanted it to turn and so just kept on going until out of range. Never managed to retrieve it. Expensive loss that.

Ben can count his lucky stars.

We happened to fish Maccassar last night. (had a field day with Miss Barbara and Mrs Shy - very small cob in between)

Any way , another Aquacat got lost in the sea , lifesavers were called in who subseqently retrieved the boat and informed us they salvaged another one earlier.

Ben , you owe me a case of you know what.

village boy, i released genoeg miss barbara"s last night on condition they follow the aqua-cats and report back to the Village people , and that over-sized MRS shy you caught promised she will tow it back if she gets an sms from the barbel-jo family.

P.S.

I have informed all Village People to release all fish big enough to tow in boats thru rough seas.
