This weekend I fished boskop dam and I managed to get 5 yellows but the otter only left me with 2,how do I scare the otter away??? Help asb dit was mooi geles

My word of advice....release them yellows immediately for another day and you won't have damage to your keepnet either..

Ja okay, so must I release carp aswell? I don't always keep it

Put a block of White polystyrene in the keepnet, it squeaks and the otters are weary of the white alien floating object

Or get yourself one the newer type of keep nets, those made of the shadow net material with the tennis ball on the  side to pull the hatch down.  For some or other reason the otters dont bother with them.

attach small bells to the keepnet, or just release all the fish...

The polystyrene works .

what inormally do is but the big glow sticks the long thick sticks and attach it to the net .

The best is to take pics and release the fish.

If you are going to release the fish in any way, why keep them in a net? Unless its a comp or something... Then you don't have to bother with smelly nets in the boot or bakkie.... Less stuff to chuck around...lol!
