Arrived at the venue 06:30 am on a extremely cold and rainy morning. After all the normal rules and regulations were explained the anglers, everyone went of to their
allocated spots. I drew 17 and hoped that it would be a good spot.
After unpacking all the equipment I realised that I had deeper water in front of me as the water was knee height about 10 metres from the bank.
I fished at 70 metres for most of the day. My fish came out on Tjop Tjop on the ball a plain floatie on the top hook and a tjop tjop floatie on the bottom hook.
Another combo that worked well is plain floatie on both hooks with Ebony and Caramel on the ball.
I didn’t fish the whole afternoon as my waders leaked and my so called waterproof raincoat got wet… I need to ensure that my gear is quality as the angler next to me got a fish every 15 minutes..!!
I finally decided to pack up my things at 14:00pm.
The trip was very disappointing as I had only four fish and the fact that I had to throw in the towel.
