Dan dink jy nog by jouself oor die model se ouderdom, as daar reeds 'n nuwe model is, dan onderhandel jy nog so bietjie, o en hoe meer dit lyk of jy niks gaan koop nie, hoe beter raak die pryse...

Maak 'n draai daar, beslis gaan jy al jou petrolgeld terugmaak as jy met 'n lekker orderboek gaan.

As jy regtig die ding wil doen gaan na Bloemhoff dam toe met 'n roepstok en punkinseeds......dis nou as jy genoeg guts het, daai goed pluk jou sommer rond of onder die water in.

Had a short impromptu session at the same dam, but this time I bettered my artlure barbel PB twice.

First one weighed in at 5.74kg

The second one put up a strong fight (used 7'M spinning rod and 12lb line) and it took me the better part of 10 minutes to land this 6.96kg barbel.

Next I must break the 10kg mark ... can't wait!

Middle of the week is out for me ... family responsibilities and all.

I'm planning on going there again towards the end of September. Will chat then.

@Steve - Yes, both were caught from the side along a flat stretch of shoreline. Was a bit difficult at times as they moved in and out of casting distance. Also had my 3-year old son with me, so I couldn't fish from the damwall from where they would've been easier to cast to.

Was there a certain way that you fished to get better pulls?? Was there today, unfortunately I only had a hour to fish but couldn't get the fish to commit. I was using Bagley Rattle Traps and fished from 2 - 3....
