why dont you remove the posts older than a year i think it is a little waste to have them on as i caught myself responding to a post that was 3 year old think the person that started it must be compost by now :fbash just me thinking if they are that old it is no use anymore

Some beginners might use the info posted by more experienced anglers, although a post might be old, it doesn't mean it has no value. Yes, sure there's some that's of NO value.

What Serra said...

There is some good info in the archives.

Spot on Bennie, say for example I want to go Bassing at a particular dam, or I want to fish False Bay.....what must I do? Of course, the Anglers bible....cross check SL, go check older threads, contact people that posted threads regarding those sections I am interest in.

I know what you mean, the man selling the reel or rod, should change the post, put in bold "SOLD" once the deal is done and completed. I agree 100%.

Top left of all posts you will see when the post was made.

Also it is easier to work on the resent page as the posts get updated by the second.

working in the individual forums are great but then you have to check the posted and responded dates as stated above.

can we not merge some treads/ reports.
how does admin feel about it?

ie: all reports regarding cape vidal under one heading.
st lucia under another
maphelane on its own.

it can be a hick-up but with one tread there, research is all under one heading.
I normally like to continue where I left off.
other feel like they have to start a new tread.

We will be a heck of a lot busy with such activities. It would mean that I would have to search for ALL the Kosi Bay posts, open a single one and decide whether it is the appropriate one to merge ALL the other posts/topics into.

It will be extremely time consuming.

jps,
we understand.
the thought is good, the implementation is the key factor.
seems for now, we need to live with it.
or schooling of new users should be better
