Okuma Salina 16000 II

Bought myself the new Salina 16000 II, has anyone used it?  Going on a Bassas da India trip in July 2010 and bought this for that trip.

I've not fished one or had the fortune of holding one and checking it out, but just did a little research on them, they certainly look good...
Dig the blinged up handle that comes standard on them too...

Bassas is gonna be a good testing ground for the reel, thats for sure... hope she serves you well and delivers up some BUS fish!

I have had the good fortune of holding the Salina. The Salina is of the same bread as the V80 which I do have and I have abused my reel without a single failure. I have no doubt it will do the job! Awesome reels and terribly under rated. Pity about the Okuma on the side, if it said Shimano, then everyone would buy them.

i now have the 65 or 6500 and boy it feels nice! i want to get something big on it to give it a proper test...
