Ok so I have gone through some rod topics on the f

I spent the day (last Thursday) casting with the Velocity, Torpedo and sneaked a few casts with the Oval DC and the new Docks F3 with K series guides.

Torpedo 12' which is a rod that will sell under R400 we managed 150 odd but not me, I just don't come right with the softer rod but I did get good distance with the 13'

Then the Velocity 10' - over 150m, 12' Over 160m and 13' I got 3 casts around 185-190m and George Ruthven went 194-197m

Oval DC (Different class) casts the same but is a better fishing rod and wider casting variety.

My personal opinion is that the Velocity is going to Outperform, Outfish and Outsell the Bazooka and Rocket, especially at it's price point, but it's still not a G2

then to top off the day I hijacked Ridwaans bass rod and spinning reel and went to throw a stickbait for a barble (they were turning all through the day)

Caught myself 7 bas and a Barble and lost a Giant that straightened one of the hooks on the jerkbait I was fishing, treble was way to small/light for the fish I hooked.

Your'e making me yellow with jealousy! I'm thinking of buying me the Abu Garcia Veritas very nice rod must have been a huge fight on the bass rod!

I must bow to bass as they are much better to catch than carp. Went to visit one of our local shops they have 12'' shimano beastmasters for R1450 is that the normal price or good one?

I'm stuck between three decisions because I still want a roepstok as well, barble is just so much more fun on lure than bait.

Hi guys i bought myself two 12vt velocitys on friday took them for a "testdrive" on friday afternoon and what can i say these rods are briliant i cast a few cast over 160meters (wind slightly from behind) and caught a few carp in the 1-2kg range and could feel the fish fighting nicely,I AM VERY HAPPY
