yes bennie , that is him
I know your Dad and your Brother very well. Fished with your boet, also chartered his boat a few years back. They make some fantastic lures too. I know your brother on a business and personal level. Down to earth, great people.

Thanks Bennie. the last fishing trip my dad came down to the cape on , I think he still stopped at your spot to pick up some stuff, earlier in the year. The both sing praises of your gear, and I also use a lot of it ( my dad can not resist sending me stuff he fancies)love the pliers.

Lovely post about your dad FS

My dad was fishing commercially in Plett where he lived

Then emphezima got the better of him and he spent his last years bedridden 100m from the ocean

What a terrible waste :(

I also know your boet! He is probably my number 1 drinking buddy when I am in Soddies :)

Didn't know your dad was sick, hope the treatment is successful.

Thanks Nico, yes, that sounds like my boet, I think he is about everyone's no ! drinking buddy when they go to Sodies. just give him a dop, and start talking fish, and he is happy. Wish I could get him to figure out how a comp works, and get him on Sealine. I think he would be a great source of info to guys fishing sodwana .

My dad had a procedure done about a month ago where they removed part of the pancreas, part of the intestines, stomach and some other bits. a pretty major op, he is at home to building up strength. his op went very well, however he has to go back down to durbs in two weeks time, and then he starts 5 weeks of Chemo and radiation. once this is done, they have done everything they can , and I trust God that what has to happen will. he will either be clean, or he will be cramming a lot of fishing into the time he has left, but we are all positive. thanks to all for the well wishes, means more than you can think.
