Fedu, very nice report, nice snappers and beautiful photos! Must have been a nice experience to travel to the unknown in this beautiful country. On what bait did you catch the snappers and was it higher up in the river or close to the mouth? Again, well done and thanks for sharing!
Hi Oosie,

Will have to go to your fishing grounds sometime in the near future :)

I don't fish bait, I use artificials like small rapalas X-rap small storm lures and a variety of poppers.

Depending on the river my lure changes, at this river I use mainly sub surface lures but on "your river" I would go with poppers and other surface lures.

I fish inside the river but near the river mouth, on this river Mbridge is very easy because it has some rocky ground areas that we target.

On most of the other rivers we target fish near the tree roots and mangroves, usually first troll to locate fish and then I usually entertain myself casting, in some rivers the vegetation is so dense that you can not walk near the margin and there the dinghy makes all the diference.

You bet. Being a guest here for the last 4 years, I have endless stories to tell my grandkids. Probably the best decision I've made in my life.
