How do you catch nwembe? Fishing tackle, lures, spots, techniques? Any advice. Going to lower Zambezi in August. :fishn

You mean Upper Zambezi (No Nembwe in lower (Below KAriba)
Same tactics as bass - jigs, Spinnerbaits, Cranks and plastics.
Fish the same as bass - Structure

PS. They LIKE noisy lures (Lots of rattles)

Howzit... Spoken to Ryan about the SADA Curlytails... theyre a must to go with for catching livebait, kurpers ect. NWEMBE

you can look at them on the artlure section and then under small riggs for kurpers... recon theyre gonna be deadly !!! :fishn

Work it hop-hop slowly on the bottom. Not a swimming lure. very effective in shallow water. No 10 hook and large sada curly plus splitshot.

So I looked at that article in the July SA BASS...the CROCKANGO Angling Bonanza 09. Those guys caught the Nembwe on jigheads . Damiki Mamba,in Black, with trailers that looks like frog legs ( Bullfrog Zoom Speed Craw trailer ) !

So I had one in my bass box...

We caught Nembe on the bronze DAM spinner as show here and we caught the majority on the Efzet no4 Yellow lead body and gold blade. I also caught a 5,5lbs on a 4/0 Black and Purple Clouser on fly. We where on the Kavango river about a month ago, great trip. Fishing report posted on sealine http://www.sealine.co.za/view_topic.php?id=22334&forum_id=23
