Hi Marius

Thank you very much for the invite, I cannot join tomorrow, I have some other commitments, but I am saving your number, because I will take you up on your offer. As long as you are a very good tutor with lots of patience, I am what you will call a Green Horn in fishing - no experience.

Happy Pants, drop me a PM with your number,  would like to also get in touch with you.

Next time boet.

We went out and tried the tabletop at bellbuoy, deepwrck and white sands, but there was a very strong current, flowing towards Cape reciefe, so we ended up diving the coke can area and tried the Western wall, but it was not that clean.

An interesting tip is when you anchor, prior to getting into the water, drop your float into the water ( attached to your floatline ) and if it foats away fast, behind the boat, there is surface current.

R.T. now also has his first four hours towards his skippers.

Hi

So not the best day in the water, by the Western Wall, I presume you mean the "front" harbour wall? - Are one still allowed to dive there?
I will most certainly be joining you guys in the very near future, I am in the process of purchasing Gletwyn's mentorship program.
Do you do a lot of shore dives or not?

I dont shore dive, if I can help it.

We dived on the wall near the live fishtanks.

Before you buy any equipment, come speak to me, because I have a lot of stuff lying around.

If you want to get mentored for free, come speak to me.

I want to put back into the sport, because some of the greats took time and mentored me.( Tommy Botha, Attie Louw and Edward Hayman )

They were willing to share, even though they spearfished, for WP and I was EP.

Thanks a lot for the generous offer, I will be talking to you soon. I have some family commitments this weekend, but as far as I know I am good to go after this - unless the wife has other plans.
I am looking at purchasing a Rob Allen 1,1 m railgun as well, so if you anything like this lying around, I will be more than happy to buy it from you - I was thinking of using a floatline to start with, I do not know if I am comfortable with a reel setup just yet.
I also have a boat that we can make use of, it might just be a bit too big for your / our purposes, but we can talk about this.
How often do you dive - weather permitting?

I will have a look in the garage what barrels and muzzles I have.

Reel guns have an advantage when you dive deep, but I am a bit paranoid with reel guns and new guys, because when you bakkie, you can loose sight of your divers, because there is no float to watch, especially if you have more than one guy in the water.

A reel gun would work well with a drop weight, so that you can mark the spot and then use your reel gun.

You can always add the reel later.

I used to dive a lot, but when I started doing skippers courses, it interfered with my diving, so I have stopped doing the courses and now I am free to dive.

Some experience??? Marius, that's like Einstein saying he knows a little bit about physics.

Geez If I was still in PE I would take you up on that offer.

If these guys knew what I know about you, you would have squatters in your back yard begging to go diving every day.

Corry, thanks for the kind words, but I found out that I am seriously diving unfit.

I am sure that some training will help.

When is affiliation for SAUFF due ?

Had a nice dive with Darren in the bay, although the viz was noth that great, and not many fish around.

There was a lot of small stuff and some nice Bronze breams.

My bottom time is geting better, after the third trip and I was pushing regular 1min 30 seconds, with some disves longer with this 1min 57 sec
