Nah, I haven't. Tell me more.

For the basics, I am a scientist... the way I look at things, numbers and stats back up theory. Then when the theory is applied, experience takes over... When a hundred Provincial anglers change from using the Bimini/Fig 8, so will I. Obviously things change, like the larger 1.2-1.5mm leaders... prompting guys to go with Wind on leaders etc. but for the time being... until the stats change... why change a good thing?

By the way... the PR knot was designed to work with braid... are you using it for nylon too now?!

Never seen it either but the grapevine is talking.

yep ,Load the bobbin up with a seperate bit of braid.Hold your two bits af mono/flouro together and just spin the PR wrap on top.Goes through the eyes of a rod without a hitch.

I could have sworn I did a post on this already

Hey guys
I saw the screaming reels dvd. Spyker reckons his 'spyker knot' can handle bronzies and is easier to tie. I don't know how to do the bimini, but it is on the dvd and its something i def want to learn, as it looks much stronger. Just a bit difficult to tie. Any opinions on the Spyker knot?

The spyker knot is great, it's just a bit difficult when using leaders above 0.90mm, you must really pull hard(not jerk) to make the knot perfectly when using thick leaders.

I use the Spyker knot for leaders up to 0,80mm and it works great - also a very small knot. Anything over 0,80mm - I use the trusted figure 8.
