It is a sweet ride but think Nitro boats are over prices. You get locally made boats that are better and faster than what they are. That also includes the tritons and the ranger boats

Johan, I will have to disagree with you here. That NitroZ9 is so far ahead of the "plastic covered with chrome" Triton's that to compare the two is an insult to Nitro. The construction is radically different and there isn't much sluggish about the Z9. It's a very wide boat and runs on a larger wetted surface so produces more drag but it still goes like a bomb.

This is the last quote I got from Broderick, this was before the Rand had a slight DIP

A new Z9 CDC  HULL AND TRAILER  base boat with no options R420 000.00

A new Verado 300hp  is R252 000.00 and for the shop I will give 12%.

The build quality is insane, really is a well put together package.

So Basically before the Drop in the rand you are looking at a rig in the region of 750k.............eish them a lot of smackers for a piece of leisure equipment - but if you can afford it then why the hell NOT.......
KVD's is fully sponsored though - lekker to be so good at the game huh

LMAO Drew it is only sour grapes cause I can’t afford one. Nitro is in a class of its own

Just for interest sake, search on the following boats in the US:

Bass Cat (www.basscat.com)

Allison boats (www.allisonboats.com)

Skeeter (www.skeeterboats.com)

Ranger (www.rangerboats.com)

Look at the prices of these things and you will realise why Triton are huge in SA and the others aren't.... it's all got to do with affordability, but all these boats above will smoke a Triton anyday. You know the coined phrase here in SA... BMW vs Toyota?? Same thing here, you get what you pay for and personally I'd rather buy a Renegade that is a phenomenal boat, and locally manufactured and in turn support possibly 20 families that are emplyed in the factory in SA, than buy a small Triton, when there are a handful of local people making money, but ultimately it's the chaps in the US that make the ching...
